Who is Sue Irving?
Sue’s interest in design started early. As a young girl, she redecorated her bedroom with her pocket money, buying pieces of furniture and nick-nacks to enhance her space.
Fast forward to the 90s, spending 12 years as an International Relocation Consultant helping overseas business executives & their families find and fall in love with their new “home away from home”.
During this time she relocated 500+ families. This gave her a unique insight into how families adapt to their new home. She even had the pleasure of relocating past Wallabies Captain, John Eales and his family into a new home.
300 investment properties
Sue then moved into Investment Property Management on the lower North Shore, managing 300+ properties for both local and international owners. This included maintenance, repair and upgrading to best compete for rental income.
Many Owners were short of time with career and family commitments. Sue took the initiative to present ways to improve their income. Her clients trusted her judgement and she delivered providing sage advise on how get the best balance of Investment and Return.
Before long she was managing full renovations, including Design advise, project management of Trades and ensuring quality control and quick turnaround. This part of her role grew into a full-time position creating a new Renovation Service. Sue built a solid team of reliable Trades people and developed unique Renovation Designs to suit different budgets.
Fast forward to today
With this extensive experience SUE IRVING DESIGN officially launched in early 2018 focused on North Shore and Northern Beaches. With her husband John with an Architectural background, joining the business in 2020. John uses his 20 years of business coaching skills to manage our people and negotiate with our suppliers.
